About Protrain
Welcome to Protrain! Protrain began as an idea back in 2010, fueled by a passion for learning and knowledge sharing. Ashutosh's vision was to create a platform where professionals could gain insights and enhance their skills in the EPCM industry. At that time, cloud technology was emerging, making it possible to establish an eLearning portal that could reach learners across the globe.
Over the years, Protrain became a valuable resource, benefiting thousands of professionals in the EPCM industry. However, as Ashutosh took on senior leadership roles in major projects over the past five years, the eLearning portal had to be discontinued. Despite this, the passion for learning and sharing knowledge remained strong, leading to the evolution of Protrain into a blog site.
Now, as we enter the era of AI and Generative AI, Protrain continues its mission of knowledge sharing. With a renewed focus on emerging technologies, we aim to provide insights and discussions that empower professionals to stay ahead in this rapidly changing world.
Professional Background
Ashutosh Maurya has 25+ years of construction project management experience. He is the Project Director, working with a leading U.S.-based PMC to support clients in delivering one of the largest aviation projects in India. He has led key functions in large and complex projects across India and the Middle East and possesses strong leadership capabilities to drive and support large capital projects. Ashutosh specializes in PMO setup, project planning and controls, reporting systems, cost controls, technical leadership, and claims management and prevention.
Having worked for leading contractor, project management consultants and employer gives him 360 views on the management of construction projects. He has worked in large airports, urban infra development, power plant, university and office space building. Ashutosh is a team player. He has worked with virtually all nationalities. He is a proficient speaker in construction project management and project controls domain. He has been serving various positions on AACE International UAE and India section board.
Ashutosh is a civil engineer by education and holds a master's degree in construction project management from India's top tech institute Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Cost Professional (CCP), and Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) from AACE International.
